Cleaning and caring for your non-stick-coated cookware

  • Prior to first use, your cookware should be thoroughly cleaned and sterilised in boiling water. Dry, rub evenly with oil and heat briefly on the stove.
  • Never use a knife to cut food inside your cookware, and do not use metal or sharp-edged utensils to stir.
  • Cookware with plastic handles is not suitable for use in the oven.
  • If your cookware has stainless steel handles, it is perfectly suited to use on gas stoves and in the oven.
  • Never heat your cookware empty or with oil on a high heat for longer than 5 minutes. Overheating will damage the coating and cause it to lose its non-stick action.
  • If the pot is regularly moved back and forth on a glass ceramic surface, traces of aluminium may rub off. Aluminium marks can be removed using Fissler glass ceramic care products.
  • Never run cold water over a hot glass lid to cool it.
